Hitting out at the BJP withoutnaming it, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee onWednesday alleged that a political party was misusing theConstitution and urged everyone to pray together to save it aswell as the country.
Referring to the Constituent Assembly meeting for thefirst time on this day in 1946, Banerjee paid her tribute toall its members who gave shape to the countrys Constitution.
“On this day in 1946, the Constituent Assembly met forthe first time. Tribute to all members of Constituent Assemblywho gave shape to Indias Constitution. These days, Apolitical party is misusing the Constitution. Let us praytogether to save our Constitution. Save our India,” Banerjeetweeted.
On this day in 1946, the Constituent Assembly had metfor the first time in New Delhi in the Constitution Hall, nowknown as the Central Hall of Parliament.
