The Delhi Fire Service on Thursday (November 28) said there was a blast near a PVR in the Prashant Vihar area.
"We received a call regarding a blast in Prashant Vihar area at 11.48 am. We rushed four fire tenders on the spot. Our teams are following," said an official.
Senior police officers, including Additional Commissioner of Police Rajeev Ranjan have reached the site.
On October 20, a strong blast similarly ripped through a wall of the CRPF school in Rohini's Prashant Vihar area.

Blast similar to one near CRPF school last month: Police
Police sources say the blast at Prashant Vihar is similar to the one that occurred outside of a CRPF school's boundary wall in Prashant Vihar last month.
"But this was a very low intensity blast which occurred opposite a sweet shop. We cannot link them right now," the source told PTI.
Senior police officers, including Additional Commissioner of Police Rajeev Ranjan have reached the site.
The entire area has been cordoned off and a bomb detection team, dog squad, local police force, along with the Delhi Fire Services are present at the spot.

Police begin probe
The incident reportedly occurred in a park near the PVR outlet, where a white powdery substance was found at the scene of the blast. One person sustained injuries and was rushed to BSA Hospital by a PCR van, said reports.
Senior police officers, including Additional Commissioner of Police Rajeev Ranjan, along with ACP and SHO Prashant Vihar, have reached the site and are overseeing the investigation. The crime team is also present and conducting a detailed survey of the area.

In a statement, the police said the PCR unit received a call informing about a bomb like explosion in Prashant Vihar area. A Bomb detection team, dog squad, local police force, along with the Delhi Fire Services are present at the spot.
