
TCS Nashik: Families of accused allege Bajrang Dal involvement, cry ‘conspiracy’
Relatives of the arrested employees, claim the harassment and conversion allegations are scripted and false
While the controversy around Tata Consultancy Services’ (TCS) alleged sexual harassment and forcible religious conversion issue at its unit in Nashik, Maharashtra, continues, a member of the family of one of the accused counterclaimed that the entire episode is a “conspiracy”.

Razak Kazi, uncle of one of the seven employees who have been arrested in connection with the case, told reporters on Thursday (April 16) that everything happened as per a conspiracy, and all the families were troubled.
Bajrang Dal accused
Hindu group Bajrang Dal was also accused of being involved in the case.
Claiming the party which brought the allegations contacted the Bajrang Dal, Razak said one person was released after the probe, but was arrested again.
'We are well-educated'
Bilal Fakir Mohammad Attar, father of Tausif Attar, another accused in the case, also made similar allegations. Speaking with news agency IANS, he said, “We are well-educated. I am a graduate myself, and my son is also a graduate. He has completed his BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications). Our entire family is educated.”
“Whatever is happening is wrong. It is not the fault of my son or any other child. They have been falsely implicated in a pre-planned manner. All the allegations against them are false,” he added.

The families of the accused made the remarks come as a court in Nashik remanded two accused in police custody till Saturday (April 18) in connection with the controversy.
The two individuals charged were freshly arrested on Wednesday (April 15), following their earlier remand in judicial custody in connection with a related case.
The police are currently looking into nine complaints filed by eight female employees of TCS, who alleged that they were subjected to mental and sexual harassment by senior colleagues, and that the human resources department failed to address these complaints.

The staff members who were arrested and have since been suspended are identified as Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Rafiq Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, Asif Aftab Ansari, and the HR head, Ashwini Chainani.
Additionally, another female employee, Nida Khan, is presently evading capture.
