Kamal Haasan to stay away from Lok Sabha elections, bypolls

Makkal Needhi Maiam president Kamal Haasan has announced that he will not contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections or the Assembly bypolls. The actor-turned-politician said he has a lot of work to do and that he will work for the victory of his candidates.

Releasing the second and final list of candidates for both the elections, he said that he would help his candidates as much as possible and trusted them to represent the party, but would not contest himself. He also released MNM’s manifesto.
