Three CRPF soldiers killed in terrorist attack in Kashmir's Sopore
Three soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were killed in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday (April 18) after militants had opened fire at them. The attack comes a day after a trooper was injured by militants in the valley.
The terrorists had fired at soldiers stationed at a check post in the Sopore town. The check post was guarded by personnel of both the CRPF and the Jammu and Kashmir Police, reports said.
Only last night, militants had opened fire at another check post in Pulwama. A soldier was injured in the attack and was admitted to hospital immediately. Though, other soldiers tried to nab the terrorists, they had fled the spot.
On April 5, five soldiers had martyred in an encounter with militants along the Line of Control in Kupwara. The soldiers had killed five terrorists at point blank range, before succumbing to their injuries.
