J&K terror attack: Heart-wrenching pics show boy sitting on grandfather’s body
Heart-wrenching pictures of a three-year-old boy sitting on the body of his grandfather who had died in a terrorist attack in Sopore town of Jammu & Kashmir on Wednesday (July 1) have appeared on social media.
According to ANI, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel rescued boy from getting hit by bullets during the terrorist attack. Later, the personnel took the child to his mother. Police said the boy was going to Handwara, a town in the UT, with his grandfather.

“When we reached the site, what we saw was disturbing. Our priority was to evacuate the child. It was very challenging as terrorists were firing upon us,” Azim Khan, Station House Officer in Sopore, told ANI. The old man was killed after he had got down from his car to go to a safe spot.
In the attack, a CRPF policeman was also killed, while three personnel have been injured. The area cordoned off and the police have begun the search operation, said Dilbag Singh, the Director-General of Police, Jammu & Kashmir.
