4 'Khalistani' terrorists arrested in Haryana, explosives recovered

Four suspected Khalistani terrorists were arrested in Haryana on Thursday (May 5), according to multiple reports.

As per an NDTV report, the suspected terrorists were caught at Bastara toll plaza in Karnal, Haryana, and large quantities of arms and ammunition were recovered from them.

The suspects were carrying live IEDs (improvised explosive devices), according to reports.

The terrorists were on their way to Nanded Sahib (Maharashtra) from Ferozepur, when they arrested near Bastara toll plaza in Karnal, Haryana, and their vehicle – Toyota Innova – was seized. The car they were travelling in was ladened with sacks filled with arms and ammunitions, according to Firstpost.

The suspects were identified as Gurpreet, Amandeep, Parminder, and Bhupinder who belong to Punjab, said a report on India Today.

“The weapons were air-dropped using a drone by Khalistani terrorist Harjinder Singh Rinda from Pakistan in Ferozepur district,” an official was quoted as saying in the report.

CNN-News18 aired pictures of one Harvinder Singh alias ‘Rinda’ and said he is the “Khalistani mastermind”. According to the report, he is the mastermind of “Karnal terror plot”.
