India bowl out South Africa for 275, take 326-run lead on day 3

The dominating Indian team bowled out South Africa for 275 to take a massive 326-run lead in the first innings on day three of the second Test in Pune on Saturday (October 12).

The umpires declared stumps for the day immediately after Kagiso Rabada was dismissed in front of the wicket by spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.

The Proteas began the day at 36 for three but Keshav Maharaj (72) and Vernon Philander’s (44) rearguard action paved way for the team to cross the 250-run mark.

Faf du Plessis also contributed 64 runs in South Africa’s fight.

Indian pacers Mohammad Shami (2/44 in 17 overs) bowled with a lot of fire during the session while Umesh Yadav’s (3/37 in 13 overs) third wicket of the innings primarily belongs to Saha, who once again proved why he is rated as the best in the world.

Ashwin (4/69) too contributed to share seven wickets with Umesh Yadav.
