Dhoni pays ₹40 per visit for knee pain treatment at a forest clinic
Swashbuckling batter Mahendra Singh Dhoni is suffering from a knee ailment for which he is seeking treatment from an Ayurvedic doctor in Jharkhand, who charges the star cricketer ₹40 per visit.
The former India captain is believed to be in pain as the knees are restricting his performance and affecting his quality of life.
A local media report suggested that Dhoni is consulting a doctor named Vandan Singh Khervar, who lives in the forests of Lapung, about 70 km from Ranchi. The Ayurvedic doctor had earlier treated Dhoni’s parents as well.
Khervar told media persons that he didn’t recognise Dhoni at once. He didn’t know it was the star cricketer unless the people who accompanied Dhoni told him so. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is believed to have told the doctor that he suffers from knee pain due to calcium deficiency. The cricketer now visits the doctor once in four days. The treatment has been going on for the last one month or so.
