'Why Irrfan Khan's death hurts more?' Amitabh Bachchan explains
In fond memories of late actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor who passed away last week, superstar Amitabh Bachchan posted pictures on Twitter, saying that the death of a younger celebrity is much more tragic. The 77-year-old actor tweeted saying that one laments the loss of opportunities and unrealised possibilities when a younger artist dies.
Irrfan Khan, who was 53-years-old, died in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubai Ambani Hospital on April 29 after battling neuroendocrine tumor. He was hospitalised on April 28 in the ICU due to colon infection. Earlier the actor also took treatment in the UK. He was last seen in the movie ‘Angrezi Medium’.

Irrfan Khan is regarded as the country’s face to world cinema due to his versatility and sheer talent. His conviction to film characters was appreciated by critics and audience worldwide. Apart from working in prominent Indian films such as Salaam Bombay, Paan Singh Tomar, The Lunchbox, The Namesake, and more, he also worked in Hollywood projects such as The Warrior, Inferno, Spiderman, Jurassic World. Irrfan last worked with Amitabh Bachchan in the hindi film Piku, where the two actors are known to have shared a close bond.
Rishi Kapoor, who was 67-years-old, breathed his last in Mumbai’s Sir H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital on April 30 after struggling with leukemia. The actor was getting treated in the US for about two years. Rishi Kapoor’s death came in less than 24 hours after Irrfan Khan passed away.

He was one of the most celebrated actors in the country, belonging to the well-known, Kapoor family of Bollywood. Rishi Kapoor recently worked with Amitabh Bachchan in the hindi film 102, Not Out. The two actors have worked in several other popular hindi films like Amar Akbar Anthony.
