After various ‘BJP supporters’ offered free services from Netflix subscription to chat and date with lonely women via different Twitter handles, Twitterati had a gala night on Saturday (January 4) spotting the desperation to garner support for the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Saturday that the Narendra Modi-led government won’t budge an inch on its decision to implement the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

On January 2, to garner the support of people in favour of CAA, BJP tweeted out a phone number asking people to give missed calls. The number was also retweeted by Amit Shah.

Since then, various handles have tweeted the same number posing to be a ‘lonely woman in need of company,’ some handles offer a free subscription to video streaming apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime, and a few others offer sex and job opportunity and so on.

However, the icing on the cake was when Netflix debunked a fake tweet and being their savage self said, if somebody wanted a free subscription, they should just use another person’s account, ‘like the rest of us.’

After the mic drop moment, it all snowballed with Tweeple making fun of BJP and the cheap tactics employed by its IT cell.
