Sushant death case: Rhea, Showik to stay in jail till Oct 6
Rhea's lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, said that the hearing of Rhea-Showik bail plea will be held on September 23, before Justice Sarang V Kotwal of the Bombay High Court.
Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik will remain in jail till October 6, a Mumbai court said after their judicial custody ended today. Meanwhile, the duo has filed a bail application in the Bombay High Court, which is likely to be heard tomorrow (September 23). She is at present housed in Byculla jail in Mumbai.
The Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) arrested the actor on September 9 and charged her for organizing drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput, whom she dated in the months before his death on June 14.

The NCB arrested Rhea on September 8 on the charge of procuring drugs for Sushant. A sessions court sent her on 14-day judicial custody, which ended today.
The NCB is likely to seek an extension to Rhea and Showik’s judicial custody. Earlier, Showik admitted before NCB that he had arranged marijuana for Sushant Singh Rajput and that Rhea paid for the drugs.
Besides the brother-sister duo, Sushant Singh Rajput’s house manager, Samuel Miranda and cook, Dipesh Sawant, are also in judicial custody. So far, 18 arrests have been made in the case.
Some big names have come up during Rhea’s questioning by NCB which includes Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh and designer Simone Khambatta. The NCB is likely to question them sometime next week. NCB deputy director KPS Malhotra refused to elaborate on their role in the case.

On Monday, the NCB had questioned Jaya Saha, Sushant Singh Rajput’s talent manager for about 4 hours. The NCB has summoned both Saha and Sushant’s ex-manager Shruti Modi on Tuesday for further questioning.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra flat on June 14. The high-profile case is being probed by three agencies — the NCB, the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate. The CBI is trying to find out the reason behind the actor’s death, the ED is looking at the money laundering angle.
