Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s last film, James, will hit cinemas on his birth anniversary on March 17, 2022.

The superstar’s death was a shock to his family members, friends, celebrities and fans across the country. He was 46 years old and was considered one of the fittest actors in the Kannada film industry.

Reports suggest that the makers are planning to release James on his first birth anniversary, March 17, 2022. The makers announced that they will release a special poster on January 26 at 11.11am. Director Chethan Kumar shared the announcement and wrote, “#Bolobolojames (sic).”

To honour the late actor, celebrities and distributors in the Kannada film industry have decided to let James have a solo release. No new Kannada films will release in the state for a week. This means James will have a solo release from March 17 to March 23.

James is an action entertainer directed by Chethan Kumar. The film features Priya Anand, Meka Srikanth and Anu Prabhakar Mukherjee in supporting roles.

Amazon Prime Video also announced on January 21 that as a tribute to the late Sandalwood star, the streaming platform will be premiering three upcoming films bankrolled by the actor’s production banner PRK Productions.

They also added that five of Puneeth’s popular movies, which starred him in the lead, will be available to watch for everyone, including viewers who have not subscribed to the platform.
