MG Motor launches Hector Plus; price starts at ₹13.49 lakh

British automotive company MG Motor on Monday (July 13) launched its multi-purpose vehicle Hector Plus in petrol, diesel and hybrid petrol variants with the ex-showroom price starting at ₹13.49 lakh, The Times of India reported.

According to the report, the petrol variant of Hector Plus comes with a 1.5-litre turbocharged intercooled engine and a semi-independent helical spring torsion beam. It has a six-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) gearbox.

On the other hand, the diesel variant has a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with a six-speed manual transmission and an automatic gearbox. Other features of the vehicle are auto headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, power-adjustable ORVMs and tilt and telescopic steering.

Hector Plus comes with a 17.8 cm coloured digital multi-info display, eight colours ambient lighting and leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a ‘smart swipe’ feature that allows the driver to open the tailgate with a swipe.

The vehicle can be booked at any MG Dealership or on its website www.mgmotor.co.in at ₹50,000. The carmaker has tied up with CarDekho that would buyback Hector Plus at a residual value of 60 per cent after three years of ownership, said a release.
