India can strike deep inside enemy territory and is on par with the US and the Israel on this count, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said.

Shah, addressing a gathering at the inauguration of the 29 Special Composite Group Complex of NSG at Rajarhat in northern Kolkata, said India joined the US-Israel league after the Uri surgical strike and the Balakot air strike.

“Prior to the surgical strike and air strike only two countries in the world – the US and Israel – were known to enter enemy territory and avenge the killing of their soldiers. But now I believe India’s name has been added to the list,” said Shah.

The Home Minister remotely inaugurated a couple of NSG facilities at Manesar, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Mumbai after he arrived in Kolkata at 11 am, reports said.

He said the NSG would be made a complete commando force with modern weapons and cutting-edge training. The families of the soldiers would also get all facilities. “In the next five years, all requests placed before the government by the NSG would be met,” he added.

The Home Minister said the country would keep the NSG ‘ahead’ of other forces in the world.

Shah is expected to address a rally in Kolkata where he will launch a statewide movement against the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal. The campaign is titled ‘Ar Noy Annay’ or no-more injustice.’
