Devendra Fadnavis tests positive for COVID-19

Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and former chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said on Saturday (October 24) that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Leader of Opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly and former chief minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis said on Saturday (October 24) that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Taking to Twitter, Fadnavis, who is in-charge of the BJP’s poll campaign for the Bihar Assembly elections, said he has been working every day since the lockdown was enforced. He commented that God probably wanted him to take a break.

He added that he was taking all medication and treatment, according to the advice of the doctors.

He also requested everyone who recently came in contact with him to get tested for the viral infection.

“I have been working every single daysince the lockdown, but now it seems that God wantsme to stop for a while and take a break! I have tested #COVID19 positive and in isolation. Taking all medication & treatment as per the advice of the doctors,” he said.

“Those who have come in contact with me are advised to get COVID-19 tests done. Take care, everyone!,” Fadnavis wrote.
