Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone allegedly broke down thrice during her interrogation by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officers on Saturday (September 26), reported India Today citing sources. She was reportedly told not to play the “victim card”.

The actor, who was grilled for nearly six hours on Saturday, was reportedly the admin of a WhatsApp group where people had discussed about drugs in 2017. She has admitted that the chats were hers but denied consuming or supplying drugs to anyone, the report said.

Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash was also summoned for questioning for the second consecutive day on Saturday and was confronted with the actor. Deepika was reportedly not asked anything about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

Besides Deepika, two other actresses — Shraddha Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan — were also grilled by the drugs agency on Saturday. While Deepika and Karishma were interrogated at a Colaba guest house, Shraddha and Sara were grilled at NCB’s Ballard Estate office.

The agency has, meanwhile, seized the mobile phones of Deepika and Sara. Mobile phones of Karishma, actor Rakul Preet Singh, Sushant’s former talent manager Jaya Saha and fashion designer Simone Khambatta have also been seized in connection with the case.

The narcotics agency is probing an alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus surrounding Sushant’s death. The actor was found dead at his Bandra flat on June 14. His actor-girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and several others have been arrested in the drugs case so far.
