Crew of Vienna-Delhi flight asked to stay at home for 14 days
Crew members of the Vienna-Delhi flight, have been asked to quarantine themselves for a period of 14 days, after a passenger who travelled in the flight was tested positive for coronavirus, ANI reported.
“All crew members of the February 25 Vienna-Delhi flight have been asked to stay in isolation at their respective homes for 14 days. A male passenger, who travelled from Vienna to Delhi by this flight, was found to be infected with coronavirus,” an Air India official told ANI.
Reports said, the male passenger who had travelled to Italy by road, had taken the February 25 flight from Vienna to New Delhi.
This announcement comes soon after the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare announced two cases of coronavirus – one from Delhi and another from Telangana – on Monday (March 3), taking the total number of confirmed cases to five.
The epidemic, which originated in China has spread to 60 countries including the US, Italy and Iran.
