So far, a total of 88 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including two deaths and recovered cases, have been reported in India. Seven such cases have been reported from national capital Delhi alone.

India’s aviation regulator, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), had on Friday asked international airlines to consider waiving ticket cancellation and rescheduling charges in view of the coronavirus outbreak.

“In the current scenario, it would be appropriate if airlines support their passenger in this tough time by waiving off cancellation/reschedule charges or by providing any other incentive,” it said.
