Two days after the Supreme Court handed over the Sushant Singh Rajput case to the Central Bureau of Investigation, a special team of the agency begun its investigation into the death of the actor on Friday (August 21).

A team of experts from CBI’s Central Forensic Science Laboratory is also slated to visit the actor’s residence on Friday.
The CBI investigation comes at the orders of the Supreme Court which on Wednesday upheld the Bihar government’s decision and asked Mumbai Police to hand over the case to the CBI to ensure “an impartial probe”.
The court was hearing a plea by Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea who had requested it to merge an FIR filed by the late actor’s father with the case being probed by the Mumbai police. Sushant’s father KK Singh had accused Rhea of driving his son to suicide and siphoning money from his bank account.
