Cabinet clears 4% DA hike; central govt employees to now get 21%
Information and Broadcast Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday said the union cabinet has approved 4 per cent hike in dearness allowance (DA), thus increasing it to 21 per cent for central government employees. The minister said the move will cost the exchequer an additional ₹14,595 crore.
Information and Broadcast Minister Prakash Javadekar on Friday (March 13) said the union cabinet has approved 4 per cent hike in dearness allowance (DA), thus increasing it to 21 per cent for central government employees.
While briefing the media, Javadekar said the move will cost the exchequer an additional ₹14,595 crore. According to the minister, it will benefit about 48 lakh government employees and 65 lakh pensioners.
