Rejecting the contention that there was a need to register an FIR in the ₹59,000 crore Rafale deal, the Supreme Court on Thursday (November 14) dismissed the review pleas against its verdict in the case on the ground that they lacked merit.
Rejecting the contention that there was a need to register an FIR in the ₹59,000 crore Rafale deal, the Supreme Court on Thursday (November 14) dismissed the review pleas against its verdict in the case on the ground that they lacked merit.
“We find the review petitions are without any merit,” a bench comprising Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi and Justices S K Kaul and K M Joseph said.
The pleas had sought re-examination of the apex court’s verdict delivered on December 14, 2018, that there was no occasion to doubt the decision-making process in the procurement of 36 Rafale fighter jets.
