An intelligence report has alleged that the Turkish Embassy in New Delhi had allied with NGOs in India to send activists who serve Turkish agenda to the West Asian country to speak against India, Hindustan Times reported. Turkish organisations like the International Humanitarian Relief Foundation, the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDF) and Pak-Turkey Cultural Association had been involved in the process, the report said.

On the occasion of the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday slammed the Centre for the revocation of the special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir, saying it further complicated the situation in the region and did not serve peace and stability in there, Hindustan Times reported.

Earlier, Hindustan Times had reported that Pakistan had reached out to China, Turkey and Malaysia, asking the countries to issue statements or tweets in commemoration of the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370. China had earlier issued a statement asking the two countries to work together on the Kashmir issue.

India had categorically told the international community that the scrapping of Article 370 of the Constitution was its internal matter and also advised Pakistan to accept the reality and stop all anti-India propaganda. It had told Pakistan that the Union Territory had been, was and would continue to be an integral part of India.
