Imran includes ISI in 18-point plan, reaches out to China, Turkey: Report

In his 18-point plan to commemorate the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 that revoked the special status granted to Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has included the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), which is the premier intelligence agency of the country, Hindustan Times reported.

According to the report, the plan also includes the Prime Minister’s visit to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and a live telecast of his speech at the region. The government has also planned a field trip for journalists from other countries to the occupied territory, people familiar with the development had told Hindustan Times.

The report added that Pakistan had reached out to China, Turkey and Malaysia, asking the countries to issue statements or tweets in commemoration of the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370. China had earlier issued a statement asking the two countries to work together on the Kashmir issue.

On July 13, Pakistan’s National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution against the alleged human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir. The resolution, moved by Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan, also expressed the resolve to extend diplomatic and political support to the Kashmiris.

India has categorically told the international community that the scrapping of Article 370 of the Constitution was its internal matter and also advised Pakistan to accept the reality and stop all anti-India propaganda. It had told Pakistan that the Union Territory had been, was and would continue to be an integral part of India.
