US President Donald Trump on Wednesday (November 4) accused rival Joe Biden’s Democrats of fraud, saying he would go to the Supreme Court.

“We were just about to win, in fact, we have already won,” Trump said in an address from the White House.

“We were winning in many other states and we were just about to declare it and then suddenly this fraud happened there… A fraud on the American people. And we will not let this happen,” said the President.

“So, we are going to go to the US Supreme Court and ensure that suddenly new ballots are not mysteriously found at 4 am and added to their tally. Quite frankly this is a shame to America and to the millions of Americans,” he said.

“We won Florida, Ohio, Texas (by 700, 000 votes) and they don’t include it in the tabulations. We have won Georgia. Most importantly, we are winning Pennsylvania by a tremendous amount of votes. We are winning Michigan,” said Trump.

“They are dragging us to court because they are not winning. I had predicted this. This is a fraud on the American public. Frankly, we did win this election. The goal is to ensure the integrity of this nation. We will move the Supreme Court”.

The President suggested attempts to tally all ballots amounted to disenfranchising his supporters. “Millions and millions of people voted for us,” Trump said in the East Room. “A very sad group of people is trying to disenfranchise that group of people.”

His insisted that states where vote tallies currently show him leading should be called in his favor, despite significant outstanding votes yet to be counted.

He said he was preparing to declare victory earlier in the evening.

“We were getting ready for a big celebration. We were winning everything. And all of a sudden it was just called off,” he said.

“This is a fraud on the American public. This is an embarrassment to our country,” Trump said.

Saying he would go to the US Supreme Court, Trump said he wanted “all voting to stop.”
