The internet is all buzz with #WeStandWithTaylor with support pouring in from musicians and fans alike.

In a Tumblr post on Sunday (June 30), singer Taylor Swift expressed grief that her music catalogue was sold to a company owned by music manager Scooter Braun. Braun’s Ithaca Holdings LLC acquired Big Machine Label Group that held her catalogue, media reports said.

This means all of Taylor’s music are now owned by Braun’s company and the singer has no rights over her creation. Taylor had signed with the Big Machine Label Group at 15 and last year, she switched to Universal Music Group.

“This is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept. And when that man says ‘Music has value’, he means its value is beholden to men who had no part in creating it,” she wrote on Tumblr.

The news quickly spread all across the social media and support started pouring in from all across the world.
