Here's why #WeStandWithTaylor is trending all over the internet
The internet is all buzz with #WeStandWithTaylor with support pouring in from musicians and fans alike.
In a Tumblr post on Sunday (June 30), singer Taylor Swift expressed grief that her music catalogue was sold to a company owned by music manager Scooter Braun. Braun’s Ithaca Holdings LLC acquired Big Machine Label Group that held her catalogue, media reports said.

This means all of Taylor’s music are now owned by Braun’s company and the singer has no rights over her creation. Taylor had signed with the Big Machine Label Group at 15 and last year, she switched to Universal Music Group.
“This is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept. And when that man says ‘Music has value’, he means its value is beholden to men who had no part in creating it,” she wrote on Tumblr.
The news quickly spread all across the social media and support started pouring in from all across the world.
Here’s what Twitterati had to say:
Confused how Taylor Swift standing up for herself and speaking truth and trying to change the music industry is her asking for sympathy?!? She doesn’t want sympathy. She wants to have a chance to own HER music.

Things that were confirmed from this post:
1) Taylor Swift was not given an opportunity to fairly obtain or purchase her masters without extending her contract
2) She was gracious and kind to you and showed you nothing but respect
3) You’re an asshole https://t.co/4CaYo2trOL— Tyler ?? (@tswiftie850) July 1, 2019
You don't have to be a fan to know the historical impact Taylor Swift has had on the music industry. The fact that people are gaslighting her for being angry at the fact that she can't own her music is cruel and manipulative. She deserves to own her history.#WeStandWithTaylor

If you stand with Taylor, you should stand with all artists. Think about it, if Taylor Swift doesn’t own her own music, what artist does? Forget all the personal bullshit and back and forth. It’s about the messed up system.

Scott Borchetta using tragedies to manipulate the public’s opinion on Taylor Swift. Yeah, that’s not it.
