'Gully Boy' sweeps top awards in 65th Filmfare Awards 2020

The 65th edition of the Filmfare Awards for the year 2020 ended on a good note for team 'Gully Boy', which swept the top eleven awards at the event.

The 65th edition of the Filmfare Awards for the year 2020 ended on a good note for team Gully Boy, which swept the top eleven awards at the event.

Ranveer Singh won the best actor award for his performance in Gully Boy, while Alia Bhatt and Zoya Akhtar won the awards for the best actress and best director. Gully Boy also bagged the best film award.

The film further won awards for the best supporting actor (Siddhant Chaturvedi), best supporting actress (Amrutta Subhash), best lyrics (Divine and Ankur Tiwari for the song Apna Time Aayega), best music album (for the song Apna Time Aayega), to name a few.

Meanwhile, Anubhav Sinha’s Article 15 won the Critics’ award for the best film, with Ayushmann Khurrana winning the Critics’ award for the best actor (male).

Ananya Pandey was titled the best debut (female) for her performance in the film Student of the Year 2.
