Endgame for Avatar as Avengers becomes highest-grossing movie ever
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame on Sunday became the highest-grossing film of all time, crossing James Cameron’s film Avatar worldwide box office collection of Rs 19,210 crore.
According to Hollywood website Deadline, the gap of Rs 3.44 crore in global ticket sales between the two was breached.
As per the latest box office collections, Endgame has collected Rs 19,268 crores worldwide. This was confirmed by Disney, the parent company of Marvel Studios.
In an announcement reported by Deadline, president of Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, said at San Diego Comic Con, “You have to shout out to James Cameron who held that title for a long time (10 years). If you adjust for inflation he still holds the title, and he’ll probably get the title again as soon as he puts out another movie.”

Meanwhile, Disney co-chairman Alan Horn speaking at the same event thanked “fans around the world who lifted Avengers: Endgame to these historic heights,” reported Deadline.
Avengers: Endgame features Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk and Paul Rudd as Ant-Man.

Avengers: Endgame released in April this year, as a culmination of 22 other Marvel films.
Celebrities Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Captain America), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and others play the group of superheroes called the Avengers to fight villian Thanos, played by Josh Brolin.
