Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday (May 20) met Kolkata Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at her residence in south Kolkata’s Kalighat.

According to the sources, they discussed about the possibility of forming a non-BJP government at the Centre comprising regional parties with Congress support.

The TDP leader also briefed Mamata regarding his previous meetings with Congress President Rahul Gandhi, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar and Communist Party of India-Marxist General Secretary Sitaram Yechury.

However, after a meeting for over 45 minutes, both Naidu and Mamata refused to talk to media. Later, Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress said the opposition parties are meeting the Election Commission on Tuesday (May 21) to express their concerns about Electronic voting machines.
