Amid COVID-19, Janata curfew, math connects Super 30 founder to students

What turned out to be a fun Sunday (March 22) for students across the country amid ‘Janata curfew’ in view of the coronavirus outbreak, ‘Super 30’ founder Anand Kumar challenged children to solve a mathematics question via social media.

What turned out to be a fun Sunday (March 22) for students across the country amid ‘Janata curfew’ in view of the coronavirus outbreak, ‘Super 30’ founder Anand Kumar challenged children to solve a mathematics question via social media.

Kumar, posted a maths problem on his Twitter and Facebook for students from class 6 to 12. “Hundreds of replies have come within hours. Many solved the problem through different approaches. After going through the answers, I will give them tips to solve a more complicated sum in an easier way,” he told PTI.

According to the responses which Kumar got for the question — “mathemagic” and “absolute fun” – he said that the students enjoyed solving the problem and asked him for many more such interesting equations.

“I wish to stay connected with my students and they also should use this time in a productively. With schools and colleges shut in most parts of the country, I will upload some videos on Mathematics on the social media in the coming days,” the ‘Super 30’ founder said.
