428 not out: Yashvardhan Dalal smashes record quadruple century

Haryana batter Dalal registers highest-ever score in Col CK Nayudu Trophy and adds 410 runs for the first wicket with Arsh Ranga (151) against Mumbai

Haryana’s Yashvardhan Dalal has created history by scoring a quadruple century (428 not out) against Mumbai in the Under-23 Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy match on Saturday (November 9).

The right-handed opener Dalal has now registered the highest-ever score in the history of the tournament. This is also the first time that a quadruple ton has been achieved in the CK Nayudu Trophy which is being played since the 1973-74 season and organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The previous highest individual score in CK Nayudu Trophy was 312 by Sameer Rizvi of Uttar Pradesh, against Saurashtra in the previous season.

Dalal scored 428 off 465 balls with 46 fours and 12 sixes at the Gurugram Cricket Ground (SRNCC), Sultanpur in Haryana. He scored at an impressive strike rate of 92.04 in the four-day game that started on November 8.

Thanks to Dalal’s record score, Haryana posted a mammoth 742 for 8 declared in 177 overs. The declaration came on Sunday morning, on the third day of the game.

Dalal and his opening partner Arsh Ranga (151) added 410 runs for the first wicket in 98 overs.
