There are twelve countries that have not reported even a single case of COVID-19 as on March 31. It includes seven countries from Africa and five from Asia. Some of the Pacific islands have too reported none.
On the other hand, no country in Europe, South America, and North America have been spared by the novel coronavirus.
The unaffected African countries include South Sudan, Comoros, Malawi, Botswana, Burundi, Sierra Leone, and Sao Tome and Principe.
North Korea, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Yemen are the Asian countries that have reported zero COVID-19 cases.
As on Tuesday (March 31), the world has witnessed around 7.86 lakh positive cases of COVID-19 and at least 37,820 deaths. The United States of America, Italy, and Spain are the worst-hit countries in the pandemic. China, which was once the epicenter of the virus, has almost completely recovered from the outbreak.
India has reported 1,251 cases and 32 deaths, and 101 patients have completely recovered as of Tuesday, according to the Union health ministry.
