COVID-19: Karnataka reports 115 new cases, 46 Maharashtra returnees
Karnataka has reported a spike in the number of new COVID-19 cases amid lockdown 4.0. on Thursday (May 28), the state reported 115 new cases, out of which, 46 patients has travel history with Maharashtra. After the rise in number of new cases, the tally in the state has crossed the 2,500 mark.

Apart from the 46 people who were Maharashtra returnees, six people had travel history with Tamil Nadu. Additionally, two people came from Telangana,one each from Kerala and Delhi. Another person who tested positive had travel history with the UAE.

Among the districts of the state where the new COVID-19 cases were reported, Bengaluru urban accounted for nine new cases, Yadagiri had seven cases, Udupi reported 29 new cases, Bidar had 12 cases, Dakshina Kannada had 24 new cases.
According to the state health bulletin issued today, so far, Karnataka has witnessed a total of 2,533 COVID-19 positive cases. A total of 834 people have been cured of the coronavirus infection in the state, while 47 succumbed to the virus. The state has 1,650 active COVID-19 cases.
