COVID-19: 13 people at Delhi LG Anil Baijal's office test positive

As many as 13 people have tested positive for the COVID-19 infection at Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal's office situated at Raj Niwas Marg, Civil Lines in the national capital. The Delhi LG's office informed on Tuesday (June 2) that all those working at the LG's office have undergone the COVID-19 tests.

As many as 13 people have tested positive for the COVID-19 infection at Delhi Lieutenant Governor (LG) Anil Baijal’s office situated at Raj Niwas Marg, Civil Lines in the national capital. The Delhi LG’s office informed on Tuesday (June 2) that all those working at the LG’s office have undergone the COVID-19 tests.

The first COVID-19 case came from the extended branch of the Lieutenant Governor’s office after which, 13 people were found positive for coronavirus. As per the standard operating procedure, the LG’s office is now being sanitized and protocol is being followed for the coming days.

Meanwhile, India on Tuesday (June 2) reported 8,171 more COVID-19 cases and 204 deaths in the last 24 hours. The country’s total count reached as many as 1,98,706 confirmed cases, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. On May 27, a junior assistant at the LG’s office had tested positive for COVID-19.
