The ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Tuesday (October 3) posed a volley of questions at Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of his visit to Nizamabad to inaugurate developments worth ₹8,000 crore.

BRS working president and Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao asked in a message on X whether anyone except “Adani" had gained during Modi’s 10-year rule.

He said the announcement on the Turmeric Board, meant to benefit turmeric farmers of Nizamabad, was similar to the Women’s Reservation quota -- without any time limit.

Rama Rao asked Modi to say when the Kazipet coach factory will come alive, when the Bayyaram steel plant will be built, and when will the Palamuru project get national status.

These are among the projects mentioned in the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.

If three main promises are not fulfilled, the BJP's nest in Telangana will be shattered in the next election, the BRS leader added.

Modi's Nizamabad visit

Modi’s visit to Nizamabad comes two days after he addressed a rally in Mahabubnagar, launching the BJP's campaign for the upcoming assembly polls. He will address a public rally in Nizamabad too.

It is from Nizamabad that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter and sitting BRS MLC K Kavitha is expected to contest during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Modi on Sunday announced a National Turmeric Board for the sake of turmeric farmers in the country.

The prime minister on Tuesday will also inaugurate the first 800 MW unit of phase 1 of the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project of NTPC to provide low-cost power to the state.

He will launch rail infrastructure projects including a line connecting Manoharabad and Siddipet and the electrification project between Dharmabad-Manoharabad and Mahabubnagar-Kurnool.

Modi will lay the foundation stone of 20 critical care blocks under the Pradhan Mantri - Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
