Opposition members walk out of Waqf panel meet alleging changes to Delhi report

Several Opposition members walked out of the meeting of the Joint Committee on Waqf Amendment Bill on Monday (October 28), protesting against the presentation made by the Delhi Waqf board.

The Opposition members alleged that MCD Commissioner Ashwini Kumar, who is also the Delhi Waqf board administrator, has completely altered the initial report of the Waqf board without the Delhi chief minister’s approval.

Those who walked out included AAP member Sanjay Singh, the DMK’s Mohammed Abdulla, and the Congress’s Naseer Hussain and Mohamed Jawed, among others.
