Two men were killed and one was injured during a fight between two groups in northwest Delhi’s Bhalswa area on the night of September 30. According to police, the fight erupted over talking to a girl.

While two persons, named Azad and Himanshu, were killed in the clash, Azad’s older brother Virender was seriously injured.

According to Virender’s statement, both Azad and Himanshu’s brother Hemu used to “talk to a girl”. According to police, on September 30, Azad and Hemu had a heated argument over that. During the scuffle, Azad snatched Hemu’s mobile phone.

Later, Hemu and Himanshu, along with some of their friends, allegedly attacked Azad with a knife. “During the scuffle, both Himanshu and Azad received stab injuries and died. Virender, too, was injured when he tried to intervene,” police said.

On receiving information about the clash, policemen reached the spot near Samta Vihar and found Himanshu lying in a pool of blood, a senior police officer said.

The team was informed that two injured men were taken to Babu Jagjivan Ram Memorial Hospital. At the hospital, they came to know that Azad had been pronounced dead on arrival while Vijender was undergoing treatment, the officer said.

A case has been registered under sections 302 (murder), 307 (attempt to murder), and 34 (common intentions) of IPC and an investigation into the matter has been initiated, police said.
