11-12 rounds of counting done, but EC has uploaded results of only 4-5: Congress

We have information that there are about 9-10 seats where 11-12 rounds of counting have been completed. However, the EC website and (TV) channels are showing trends available after only 4-5 rounds of counting. A kind of psychological games, mind games are being played. The EC is a constitutional body, and it should not come under any pressure. I have written a letter to EC... when trends of 12 rounds of counting are available then why are you not uploading on the website? Congress complains to EC about ‘outdated, misleading' poll trends on its website

The Congress on Tuesday alleged that there was a slowing down in uploading trends for the Haryana polls on the Election Commission website.

The opposition party also asked whether the BJP is trying to build pressure on the administration by sharing "outdated" and "misleading" trends.

In a post on X, Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh said, "Like the Lok Sabha elections, in Haryana we are again witnessing slowing down of uploading up-to-date trends on the ECI website."

"Is the BJP trying to build pressure on administration by sharing outdated and misleading trends @ECISVEEP?" Ramesh said.

Latest trends uploaded by the Election Commission showed that the BJP was ahead in 49 seats while the Congress in 35.

J&K: BJP candidate Darshan Kumar wins from Basohli seat in Kathua

Kumar has defeated controversial Congress leader Chaudhary Lal Singh, who gained infamy for supporting rapists of the Kathua rape and murder victim.

Singh had returned to the Congress following a stint with the BJP earlier this year and was also fielded by the party in the Lok Sabha elections as its candidate against Union minister Jitendra Singh from the Udhampur seat.

Singh's candidature had attracted a lot of criticism for the Congress with many pointing out his role in organising marches is support of the Kathua rape accused and questioning Rahul Gandhi on how Singh's induction into the Congress and his repeated candidacy in the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls plays poorly against Gandhi "Mohabbat ki Dukaan" narrative.
