Reigning world champion boxer Lovlina Borgohain clinched the silver medal in the women's 75kg final at the Asian Games 2023. Despite being a former Asian champion, the 26-year-old Lovlina fell short of securing the Asian Games title, losing 5:0 on points to China's Li Qian. She was penalized for holding in round 2 of the final match.

Boxing: Parveen Hooda signs off with bronze

Indian boxer Parveen Hooda was unable to overcome the height disadvantage against two-time world champion Lin Yu Ting of Chinese Taipei in the women’s 57kg semifinal, settling for a bronze medal at the Asian Games. Parveen, who had previously won the 63kg bronze at the 2022 World Championships, lost to Lin with a 5-0 unanimous verdict.

Squash: Anahat - Abhay get bronze

Anahat Singh and Abhay Singh secured the bronze medal at the Asian Games in Hangzhou after a loss to Malaysia's Aifa Binti Azman and Mohammad Syafiq Kamal.

Volleyball: Indian women beat Nepal in Pool G match

Badminton: PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy in singles quarters

Indian badminton star PV Sindhu secured a victory with a score of 21-16, 21-16 in a 55-minute intense battle against Indonesian shuttler Putri Kusuma Wardani in the women's singles round of 16 at the Asian Games 2023.
