The 76th Primetime Emmy Awards 2024 presented on Sunday (September 15) in Los Angeles saw The Bear doing a repeat performance by winning four awards – Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy.

The British series on Netflix, Baby Reindeer, also won four awards including for Best Limited Series, Best Actor, Best Writer, and Best Supporting Actress.

Shogun grabbed the Best Drama Series, and the Best Lead Actor and Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

The awards won by The Bear were for its second season, with Jeremy Allen White winning the Best Actor for his portrayal of a chef struggling to upgrade his family’s traditional sandwich shop in Chicago into a high-end restaurant.

Ebon Moss-Bachrach repeated his win as Best Supporting Actor in The Bear, playing the maître d, and Liza Colon-Zayas created history by being the first Latina to win the Best Supporting Actress award in a Comedy series.

The father-son hosts Eugene and Dan Levy drew laughs at the classification of The Bear as a comedy.

“In honour of The Bear, we will be making no jokes,” quipped Eugene Levy.
