Noel Tata appointed chairman of Tata Trusts, succeeds Ratan Tata

Noel Tata was on Friday (October 11) appointed as the Chairman of Tata Trusts, the philanthropic arm of the Tata Group. Noel will succeed his half-brother Ratan Tata, who passed away on October 9.

According to reports, Noel's appointment came after a unanimous decision was arrived at a meeting in Mumbai earlier on Friday.

The 67-year-old Noel runs a retail business named Trent.
