I will rise like a phoenix: Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Congress' death taunt

In response to the derogatory messages announcing his death posted on X (formerly Twitter), Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan defiantly declared, "I will rise like a phoenix."

He slammed the Congress, asserting that the opposition party fears him and resorts to daily abuse. An offensive tweet, which read 'mama tera shraddh ho gaya (uncle, your funeral rites have been performed),' was posted by the Congress, which led to Shivraj retaliating.

Chouhan's son hits back

Chouhan's son, Kartikey Singh Chouhan, also condemned the malicious intent behind the tweet, questioning, "Do you think God will forgive you?" Expressing a mix of anger and pity, he condemned the Congress for stooping so low as to target his living father, especially during the ongoing election period.

As the political atmosphere heats up ahead of the single-phase election in Madhya Pradesh on November 17, both the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress have engaged in intense bickering.

Chouhan taunted the Congress for delaying the release of its candidate list, questioning their reasons for the delay and hinting at internal conflicts within the party.

Speculation about Chouhan's political future was put to rest after he and 24 of his ministers were named in the BJP's candidate lists.

The BJP is expected to release another list soon, potentially including names like Rajya Sabha MP and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

The political landscape remains charged as the state gears up for the upcoming election, with results expected on December 3.
