Naidu: '5-year rule of YSRCP caused 30 years of damage to Andhra'
TDP supreme N Chandrababu Naidu spoke to the media today. Here are some of the key points what he said
"In my long political career, I have never seen such a government which has been in the past 5 years.
Not only a sector and an organisation, we all witnessed how they troubled all the constitutional systems.
Our aim was to make people win and make the state stand. To achieve this, we went forward to make any kind of sacrifices.
I have seen several elections. It was my 10th election yesterday. Being at the helm of affairs, I conducted reviews of these elections.
No one is eternal in politics, the country is permanent, the constitution is eternal and political parties are eternal and power is impermanence.
I have never seen such a historical election. Spending their own money, people from the United States came to vote to make people win.
People who are working as daily labourers in other states have voted. I'm unable to understand how to describe their commitment and appreciate them.
This election can be written with golden words in the history of TDP and the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a historical election.
We got 55.38% votes with TDP getting 45.60% and YSRCP getting 39.37%.
Going by the results, we can say people are not able to tolerate the atrocities. They proved that the same fate would be served for the destructionists, who went forward with corruption and ego.
Even Pawan Kalyan had no freedom in the state during the YSRCP regime. When he went to Visakhapatnam, he was asked to leave the city without any reason.
We have given super 6 and Prajagalam manifesto and these went into public very well and hope is created among them.
For the first time, Pawan Kalyan has come forward not to split the anti-government vote and save the state and its future. I wholeheartedly appreciate him.
TDP, JSP and BJP worked together without any differences with a true spirit.
The 5-year rule of YSRCP caused 30 years of damage to the state. All the systems were damaged, and the economy collapsed. Sand and mineral wealth has been looted.
We have the responsibility of reinstating the systems in the state.
Nobody knows why the YSRC government hiked the electricity charges by 9 times. There is no reason for it.
Even when the bombs were blasted against me, I never panicked and felt sad. But they insulted my wife and family in the assembly. I said that it wouldn't be right to stay in Kaurava Sabha and pledged to return to the assembly only after winning. People cooperated with me to fulfil it.
We will work on reaching people's expectations."
