Wrestling: Naveen beaten, misses out on bronze medal

In the Greco-Roman 130kg bronze medal match at the Asian Games 2023, Indian wrestler Naveen suffered a 5-1 defeat against Minseok Kim from the Republic of Korea. As a result, Sunil Kumar, who won bronze earlier, remains the sole Indian Greco-Roman wrestler to secure a medal in Hangzhou.

Prior to the bronze medal bout, the 33-year-old Naveen faced a defeat against China's Meng Lingzhe in the quarter-final but managed to secure a spot in the bronze medal match by winning the repechage round against Singapore's Timothy Yu Loh.
