In another tweet, it said it is hiring to fill various positions. “We have our AOC, and now we focus on building up the rest of our team as we prepare to resume operations!”
The airline intends to restart commercial flight operations in the July-September quarter.
“We are grateful to have received the revalidated AOC, the culmination of months of effort by a fantastic and dedicated team that never wavered in its faith and belief that Jet Airways would fly again, backed by the Jalan-Kalrock consortium, by the resolution professional, and by the committee of creditors who were equally determined to see Jet fly again,” said Jet Airways chief executive Sanjiv Kapoor.
With DGCA officials onboard, the airline had successfully operated five proving flights on May 15 and 17.

The airline was owned by Naresh Goyal and had operated its last flight on April 17, 2019. It had run into huge debts and was unable to pay off the loans.
After years of bankruptcy proceedings in the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), it was acquired by a consortium of UAE-based businessman Murari Jalan and the UK-based Kalrock Capital which committed to funding $180 million, of which $60 million was to be for repaying dues.
“We are committed to making this an extraordinary success story in Indian aviation and in Indian business. We will not only live up to the great expectations from brand Jet Airways, but also exceed them in many ways for today’s discerning flyers,” Jalan said.
