The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) got cheaper by ₹198 in Delhi on Friday (July 1). As per the revised rates, a 19-kg commercial cylinder now costs ₹2,021 as against ₹2,219 on June 1.

The price of commercial LPG cylinders has been reduced by ₹182 in Kolkata, by ₹190.50 in Mumbai and by ₹187 in Chennai.

However, there is no change in the price of the 14.2 kg domestic cylinder, which would continue to be sold at the same rate as announced on May 19.

The domestic LPG cylinders are being sold in Delhi at ₹1,003, ₹1,003 in Mumbai and in Chennai the price is ₹1,019.

The LPG price in India is determined by the state-run oil companies and is revised on a monthly basis.

In a year, every household can have 12 cylinders of 14.2 kg each at subsidised rates. In the requirement of more cylinders, the market price must be followed. LPG prices are also determined by the month’s international market price.
