The Federal-Devaki Hospital's Madurai marathon seeks to raise health awareness

Commercial Tax Minister P Moorthy and Sholavandan constituency MLA A Venkatesan handed the mementos and certificates to the winners of the Madurai Marathon organised by The Federal and Devaki Hospitals.

Hundreds of excited participants gathered in Madurai for a lively marathon organised by The Federal and Devaki Hospitals to raise public awareness on the importance of physical fitness.

The event was flagged off by Devaki Hospital founder Dr PS Nagendiran and Director Dr Devaki.

Runners of all ages participated in the event and they showed great community spirit. The marathon was split into two separate categories - one for men and another for women, with men running 10 km and women running 5 km.

Athletes and coaches from the Tamil Nadu Athletics Association were closely monitoring the event and helped to select the winners.

Tamil Nadu Commercial Tax Minister P Moorthy and Sholavandan MLA A Venkatesan also joined the celebration, handing out mementos and certificates to the winners.

In the men’s category, Pasupathi from Tenkasi claimed the top spot, with Sarankumar and Kannan from Theni following closely behind.

Meanwhile, in the women’s category, it was Komal, Swathi, and Gopika who walked off with the top three prizes.
