UPSC notifies civil services, other exam dates for 2021
The UPSC preliminary exam for 2020, scheduled to be held in May but postponed due to COVID crisis, will now be held on October 4.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Monday (August 17) released the exam schedule for the year 2021. The Civil Services and Indian Forest Service 2021 preliminary exam will be held on June 27, 2021. The main exam for Civil Services 2021 will be held in September. The application submission window will be active till March 2, 2021.
UPSC on Monday uploaded the exam schedules on its website as part of its annual process of releasing calendar mentioning dates on various exams and application due dates.

The UPSC preliminary exam for 2020, scheduled to be held in May but postponed due to COVID crisis, will now be held on October 4.
As per the latest announcement, the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2020 is scheduled on 8,9,10,16,17 January 2021 and Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, 2020 to commence on 28.02.2021 and will continue for 10 days till 09.03.2021.
The Commission has announced the dates of exams for 2021 Combined Geologist Services, Indian Economic Service, Engineering Services, Indian Statistical Service, Central Armed Police Forces (ACs- on Aug 8, 2021) Examination and Combined Medical Services Examination (Aug 29, 2021).

“The dates of notification, commencement and duration of Examinations/ RTs are liable to alteration, if the circumstances so warrant,” UPSC said in the notification.
