Rajiv Gandhi assassination life convict Perarivalan gets parole
One of the life convict in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, AG Perarivalan was released on a one month parole on Tuesday (November 12) from Vellore Central prison.
In view of his father’s failing health, the court granted Perarivalan parole to visit his hometown of Jolarpettai. This is the second time Perarivalan has been granted with parole. Earlier in 2017, he sought parole for 30 days for the medical treatment of his father.

The parole was further extended by another 30 days upon his mother Arpudhammal’s request. Perarivalan along with six others were sentenced to life imprisonment in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case.
It is to be noted that two other life convicts Nalini Sriharan and Robert Pyas also sought parole earlier from the prison department.
